MEET SARAH

Sarah is a passionate hair colourist and educator.

A natural questioner, Sarah has always asked “why?”—especially when it comes to hair colouring and its science. “Hairdressers have always been seen as unacademic,” she says, but she approaches every service with care, precision, and an eye for detail.

Frustrated by the lack of deep colour theory education in salons and colleges, Sarah turned to books and online learning outside the industry, building a unique understanding of her craft.

With over 30 years of experience in top London salons like Trevor Sorbie and Brooks & Brooks, she eventually left city life for the seaside, where she now lives with her dog, Seymour.

Through her brand, Chaulk, Sarah blends decades of experience with a fresh approach to education—empowering others with her distinctive take on hair colour.

Hair science knowledge gives the most precise information when analysing each hair type for every bespoke colouring service and helps impart the best advice for each individual. Building confidence a mutual trust between client and stylist.
